I love Sarah Morgan Christmas books and I think this could be one of her best as it’s just so funny and sweet.

This week my teaser comes from Immortal Writers by Jill Bowers which I received from NetGalley. It’s a bit of an odd book that I can’t make my mind up about. I almost gave up on it after the first few chapters but persevered. It’s the type of story I love, parts of it are really fun and it’s bizarrely addictive but there’s something not quite right about the writing.

Anyway it’s not out for another couple of months so no guarantees the teaser I’ve picked will be in the final version.

This week my teaser comes from Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard which is the second in the Red Queen Series. I actually finished this book yesterday and liked it a lot. It’s not the most unique of plots and has elements of Red Rising, Hunger Games and various other stories but it’s very enjoyable and I can’t wait for the next one.

No spoilers in the teaser but there may be some mild ones for the first book in the blurb.

I have to admit I’ve never read this book, or in fact watched the film, so it’s all completely new to me and I’m not entirely sure what it’s about but I’ve been wanting to read more classics. Only about 15% in but so far I’m enjoying it.

This week my teaser is from Paper and Fire, the second book in The Great Library series by Rachel Caine. I read the first book a few months ago and really enjoyed it so was very excited to get the follow up from the library last week. It’s set in an alternate reality where the great library of Alexandria didn’t burn down but gained more and more power. It’s an easy and enjoyable read with plenty of action and some steampunk elements that I’m loving.

Warning: while the teaser is spoiler free the synopsis includes spoilers for the first book in the series.
