I was tagged by the awesome Liam at Hey Ashers! to take part in the 3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge. This is actually my second round but I’m a quote addict so I will happily have another go. Thanks Liam for giving me an excuse 🙂
The rules are:
- Thank the person who nominated you
- Post a quote for three consecutive days
- Nominate three new bloggers each day
I always find it difficult to pick quotes but I’m feeling a little soppy today so I think I’m going for a bit of love and romance this time around.
Day 1, Quote 1:
In an instant, everything in the room came alive. Like the sunshine had a melody and the sounds of footsteps had a texture I could feel in my fingertips each time anyone moved.
The world woke up when I looked at him.
– The Crown by Kiera Cass
I think most people have probably already done this challenge at least once so feel free to pass but I’ll tag some of my favourite blogs anyway.
- Jess at Mud and Stars
- Jill at Rant & Rave About Books
- Naz at Read Diverse Books
Enjoy x
Thanks for the tag Ali! 🙂 I have been meaning to read The Selection series for so long, as I keep hearing good things about them and they look like a lot of fun! Hopefully I’ll give them a go this year!

I hope you enjoy. I found the first three books very frustrating but really enjoying the Heir and the Crown 🙂

Thanks! Ahh frustrating in what way? I’ve heard quite mixed things about them, and it seems like they’re entertaining but not the best works of literature haha. 🙂

There’s a love triangle that drags on a bit too long and the main character was not the most likeable but that may just be me. A lot of other people seem to love them. I tend to lean towards entertaining rather than the best works of literature 🙂

Haha, yes me too – reading should be enjoyable, so I’ll always put entertainment first 🙂

That quote is fantastic!
I read The Selection ages ago, and didn’t like it. Do you think I could skip straight to The Crown and not have any trouble understanding the plot/characters/world? Or should I at least read plot summaries of the first books before picking The Crown up?

Thanks for tagging me.
You could probably skip the Elite and the One but you’d really need to read the previous book The Heir as that introduces all of the characters and the story in this new selection process.
