I’ve read so many good books over the past week or so I struggled to decide which one to use for my teaser but have finally settled on psychological thriller Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney. This was an ARC I received from NetGalley and honestly I can’t remember when I’ve enjoyed a thriller quite so much. I read the whole thing in the space of a day, I literally couldn’t put it down. Definitely one I’d recommend.

This week my teaser comes from King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard, the third book in the Red Queen series. I received this from NetGalley but was planning to buy it regardless as I’ve been looking forward to it since I read the previous book in the series at the end of last year. It’s a series that gets mixed reviews but I’ve been really enjoying despite it’s similarities to other YA sci fi books.

This week my teaser comes from Traitor to the Throne by Alwyn Hamilton which I received from NetGalley. It’s the sequel to Rebel of the Sands which I read last year and enjoyed but didn’t love. This however, I did love. It’s full of magic and adventure, legends and myths and has some of the best world building I’ve come across. There’s also quite a bit of intrigue and betrayal and quite a few surprises.

This week my teaser comes from Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. It’s a thriller I received from NetGalley about a woman, Louise, who gets drawn into the complicated, and slightly unsettling, marriage of David and Adele. I finished this book at the weekend and while I had a small issue over an element of the plot I really enjoyed it. It’s one of those rare creatures, a psychological thriller with a MC you kind of like.

This week my teaser comes from A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard. I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this from the publishers via NetGalley. It’s a brilliant book about a girl who suffers from anxiety so severely that she finds it difficult to speak and then she meets a deaf boy and starts to find her voice. It’s a very sweet story and despite the blurb is not a romance cures all story. There is a very cute romance in it but it’s really a coming of age story and paints a very real picture of life with an anxiety disorder.
