Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme formerly hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat and revived by The Purple Booker. If you want to join in grab your current read, flick to a random page, select two sentences (without spoilers) and share them in a blog post or in the comments of The Purple Booker.
This week I was planning to do something festive but I found a great couple of sentences in my current read, It Ends with Us, so couldn’t resist.
My Teaser
Ellen, I am confident that the next sentence I am about to write has never been written or spoken aloud before.
When he was wiping that cow shit on me, it was quite possibly the most turned-on I have ever been.

SOMETIMES THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU IS THE ONE WHO HURTS YOU THE MOST
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up – she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan – her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price.
Happy holidays everyone.
Oh my goodness! I’ve heard a lot about this book around the blogging sites, but that has to be the ultimate teaser – and all I can say about the sentence is… she needs to get out more and find a really good perfume counter. This is my suitably chilly offering – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/12/20/teaser-tuesday-20th-december-2016/

Lol. I have to admit those sentences are probably not representative of the book. It does have it’s funny moment but much more serious for a lot of it.

Sounds a cracking premise, though… Maybe I can persuade Father Christmas to put it in my stocking…

Finished it last night and really enjoyed it, particularly when I read the authors note at the end.

Interesting teaser, is it romance, by the way? Not that I mind relationships in a novel, but romance is not my cup of tea. Here’s my TT, different genre: The City of Ice – Book 2 of The Gates of the World series by K.M. McKinley

I think it tends to be classed as romance but deals with some (trying not to give spoilers) serious relationship issues.
If you’re not a fan of romance though I doubt it’d be your cup of tea.

I loved this book! My favorite of all the CH books I’ve read…which actually haven’t been that many, but I will be reading more. Thanks for sharing. Here’s mine: “SHE CAN KILL”

I think it’s probably my favourite so far too although I haven’t read November 9 yet which is also supposed to be great.

The story is quite personal to the author so explains a lot. It does have spoilers for the book however so not recommended until you finish.

I can honestly say I’ve never read a Teaser featuring cow sh*t! This sounds like a good story and one that I’d enjoy.
My Tuesday post features a middle grade novel: TOO BIG.

Definitely. I kind of wish I had the ebook rather than a library book so I could go nuts highlighting 🙂
